rebuild the mill benefit concertThe Rebuild the Mill Benefit Concert featuring Jim Belushi and The Duke Street Band took place on May 15, 2017, and raised more than $70,000 to help rebuild the Butte Creek Mill.

The event was a rocking evening that featured Special VIP Guest Jim Belushi and Duke Street Band at Eagle Creek Estates in Eagle Point, Oregon. This fantastic outdoor venue along Little Butte Creek was an intimate affair that seated only 500. The venue, the bands, the food as well as all the other services were donated so that all of the proceeds could go to Rebuild The Mill.

The entire concert sold out in advance, with VIP tickets particularly scarce.

Jim Belushi is a well-known resident of Eagle Point, Oregon whose performing credits are plentiful. He is a member of the famous Blues Brothers Band, performing as Zee.

The Duke Street Band is based in Southern Oregon and includes the following members: Scott Rogers-guitar, Kent Clinkinbeard – drums, John Hauschild – vocalist and slide guitarist, Michael Vannice – keyboard & sax, Joe Cohoon – bass.

Inside the Eagle Creek Estate venue, there were one of a kind silent auction items, like a guitar made from the wood from the Butte Creek Mill as well as other items that have been made from the Mill material.

Beer and Wine were provided by Hidden Jungle. There was a cigar and bourbon area featuring Eagle Point’s own Tablerock Distillery Whiskey. The event included a designated cigar smoking area, cigars provided with a donation to Rebuild The Mill.

CW Smith was the emcee and speakers included Bob Russell owner of the Butte Creek Mill and Southern Oregon Historian George Kramer. Brian Bishop from 105.1 The Wolf introduced the Duke Street Band.

Music started at 7 pm, with a 20-minute intermission during the concert to allow the silent auction bidding to close. The food was plentiful with small snacks, bbq sliders, water and other non-alcoholic beverages.
