With the help from the Timber Framers, the Mill will be completely restored by December 2018. Once the Mill is operational, the Butte Creek Mill Foundation will continue to ensure the long-term sustainability of the Mill by continuing to keep supporters, both local and worldwide, engaged, revenue from the products produced at the Mill, fees from events held at the Mill, and ongoing Mill tours.
The Mill, the historic covered bridge, the Ice House, and other historically significant structures in the area will engage the community in historic preservation through tours. The Mill will also return to being a partner to other locally sourced goods, such as local wineries and cheese producers. Finally, the historic story will be told through an Interpretive Center model that will include guided tours, including self-guided audio tours, and visual displays that will engage generations of Southern Oregon children, their families, and tourists from all over the world.
