We like our cinnamon rolls with cream cheese frosting — here’s a great recipe for the frosting.

Cinnamon Rolls (Country Spice)
Author: Butte Creek Mill
Ingredients
  • 1 1/4 cup Warm Water
  • 1 package of Country Spice Bread Mix
  • 3/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 2 1/4 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup dried fruit or nuts (optional)
Instructions
  1. You can use a bread machine (dough cycle) or mix by hand.
  2. For a bread machine add ingredients per your machine’s instructions and start on the DOUGH cycle.
  3. By hand, dissolve yeast in warm water and add 1/4 cup melted butter.
  4. Stir in mix.
  5. Kneed until smooth and elastic.
  6. Roll it out into a rectangle on a floured surface (or piece of parchment paper).
  7. Cream together 1/2 cup butter, sugars, cinnamon, dried fruit or nuts.
  8. Spread cinnamon mixture onto to top of dough, leaving 2 inches bare on one end to seal the roll.
  9. Starting on the opposite end of the dough from bare edge, roll up tightly. (This is easier if you have rolled it out on parchment paper.)
  10. Grease a 9×13 inch pan.
  11. Begin slicing 1 inch slices of the rolled up dough and place into the greased pan. (If you have used parchment paper, slice through the paper, using the paper to lend structure to the roll as you move it to the pan — then remove the paper from the roll and slide it into place.)
  12. Continue until the whole roll has been sliced and placed in the pan.
  13. Let rise for 45 minutes.
  14. Bake at 375 for about 20-30 minutes (until brown).
  15. Enjoy!
