Multigrain Waffles with Nutritional Facts

Ingredients
- 4 cups butter milk
- 4 cups Butter Creek Mill barley flour
- 3 cups rye flour
- 4 cups Butter Creek Mill oat flour
- 3 tablespoon poppy seeds
- 2 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 2 tablespoon cane sugar
- 6 eggs
- 2/3 cup (6 oz.) unsalted butter
Preparation Method
- Soak the poppy seeds in the buttermilk overnight.
- Preheat the waffle iron on medium heat.
- In a bowl, mix the barley flour, rye flour, oat flour, cane sugar, baking powder and sea salt. Set this dry mixture aside.
- In another bowl, whisk the eggs in the poppy seeds buttermilk mixture that you soaked for overnight.
- Then melt the butter and whisk it in the egg mixture.
- Now combine the dry and wet mixture together. Stir well to mix all the ingredients. This is your waffle batter.
- Pour approximately half a cup of the batter per waffle.
- Close the waffle iron and keep it pressed for a few minutes. Check after a while to see the color it has picked. Let it be in the iron till it picks up a golden color.
- Cool them for a while or serve them hot. It is up to you.
