Donna Fagan-Pelisser
Donna Fagen-Pelisser was born and raised in Southern Oregon and graduated from Phoenix High School. After graduation, she attended Business College in Portland and eventually returned to the valley to begin her retail career in 1979. In 1981, she started a family and raised her children in Southern Oregon, where they enjoyed country living, raised animals, and spent summers hauling hay and camping.
As her daughters entered high school and became active in Phoenix FFA, Donna also became involved in the program. She volunteered at various levels, supported her daughters’ initiatives, and attended the National Convention. For six years, she worked alongside advisors to organize annual FFA fundraiser auctions and banquets.
When her daughters went to Oregon State University to pursue their agricultural degrees, Donna resumed her retail career in sales, marketing, and management. She ultimately retired in 2016 as the Chief Operating Officer of a seven-store retail chain. Her responsibilities included negotiating contracts, managing 50 employees, overseeing purchasing and marketing, and ensuring smooth operations.
After remarrying in 2016, Donna began a new chapter as a volunteer. In 2017, she was appointed to the Citizens Review Board, a judicial court-appointed volunteer position where she reviewed cases involving children in the foster care system and made recommendations to the courts and legal parties. Later that year, she became a CASA (Court-Appointed Special Advocate) for children in foster care and joined the committee responsible for the annual CASA auction and fundraiser.
In 2023, Donna and her husband sold their property in Applegate and moved to the Eagle Point Golf Community. After the move, she began assisting with media marketing for the Doug Morse Group. Through her involvement with the golf course community, she joined the HOA event committee. Soon after meeting Danita, the BCM Treasurer, she was invited to join the Butte Creek Mill Foundation Board.
With her extensive background in marketing, sales, and management, Donna is excited to contribute to the Butte Creek Mill Foundation’s mission of community involvement, education, and sharing the history of the Butte Creek Mill and the city of Eagle Point.
